76-Year-Old Mitchell Raines Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Harrold

 
HARROLD, TX (March 23, 2023) – The Wilbarger County Sheriff’s Office identified 76-year-old Mitchell Raines of Harrold as the victim who died in a hit-and-run on Berry Street on March 20.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 6:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, officers found Raines on the ground in the right lane of the southbound side of the highway. They accounted that a southbound vehicle struck the victim and fled the scene.
 
As a result, Rained suffered grave injuries in the incident. The local Justice of the Peace pronounced him dead at the scene.
