Faisal Dakhil Identified in Fatal Tacoma Accident on Highway 509

 
TACOMA, WA (March 22, 2023) – Troopers identified 28-year-old Faisal H. Dakhil of Tacoma as the victim who died in an accident on Highway 509 on March 9.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Taylor Way around 2:35 AM. Based on a report, Dakhil was driving a pick-up truck near the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he failed to stop at a red light and crashed his vehicle into a semi-trailer truck.
 
As a result, Dakhil died at the scene after suffering grave injuries.
 
His passenger, a 25-year-old Fircrest man, sustained injuries and is recovering at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma.
 
The 35-year-old driver of the truck was also hurt in the incident.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing. No other information is known at this time.
