76-Year-Old Tecle Ande Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 24, 2023) – Police identified 76-year-old Tecle Ande of Santa Monica as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Jefferson Boulevard on February 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Hobart Boulevard around 7:22 PM. Based on a report, Ande was crossing a street outside the crosswalk prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, the Los Angeles Police Department said a vehicle came by and struck him.
 
As a result, the coroner’s office said Ande suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officers believed he was homeless.
 
The vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
