Loney Bishop Killed in Pedestrian Accident on South Freeway at Berry Street [Fort Worth, TX]

Loney Bishop Identified in Fatal Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident

 
FORT WORTH, TX (February 24, 2023) – Fort Worth police identified 65-year-old Loney Lee Bishop as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on South Freeway on February 21.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at East Berry Street around 9:30 PM. Based on a report, Bishop was walking in the roadway of the northbound lanes of the South Freeway service road prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a passenger vehicle was traveling north. Police said the driver of the car tried to avoid striking Bishop but collided with another vehicle. Then, the vehicle still hit Bishop.
 
As a result, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Bishop suffered grave injuries and died at John Peter Smith Hospital.
 
The drivers of both vehicles remained and cooperated with investigating officers.
 
As of now, the accident remains under investigation.
