Pedestrian Killed, Taylor Tovoli Arrested in Hit-and-Run on Highway 7 in Spanaway

 
SPANAWAY, WA (February 15, 2024) – Troopers arrested 26-year-old Taylor Tovoli of Tacoma following a fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 7 on February 2.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 208th Street East shortly before 10:00 PM. Based on a report, Tovoli was heading northbound on the highway during the crash.
 
As he approached the intersection, she struck a pedestrian who was walking in the same lane. The driver left the roadway, entered a parking lot, and crashed into a parked car.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene. Officials only identified her as a 47-year-old Lakewood woman.
 
Crews took Tovoli to St. Joseph Hospital and her 5-year-old passenger in the car to Mary Bridge Hospital. Both of their conditions were unknown.
 
Authorities said drugs and alcohol were involved and Tolovi is facing charges of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, and child endangerment.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
