Suspected DUI Driver Injured in Rollover Crash on Highway 3 at Austin Drive in Bremerton

 
BREMERTON, WA (October 26, 2022) – A suspected DUI driver suffered injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 3 on October 21.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just south of Austin Drive around 7:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the suspect’s vehicle was driving north on the highway with an SUV prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the suspect’s car hit the SUV in the rear on the driver’s side. Subsequently, his car rolled and came to rest upside down partially in one of the highway lanes.
 
As a result, the suspect who was identified as a 32-year-old Bremerton man suffered injuries in the crash. Paramedics transported him to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma for treatment. Four women in the SUV his car struck were not injured.
 
WSP officers noted driving under the influence as the cause of the crash. An investigation is till ongoing.
