Four Killed in El Campo Car Crash on Highway 59 at Youngdale Road

 
EL CAMPO, TX (October 26, 2022) – Police identified the four victims who died in a crash on Highway 59 on October 23.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Youngdale Road around 9:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, 77-year-old Neal Ward was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 northbound on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a 2001 Peterbilt tractor towing a trailer was traveling southbound. The Peterbilt attempted to cross the northbound lane to travel onto Youngdale, Subsequently, the Ford struck its trailer.
 
As a result, Ward and a passenger 58-year-old Kelly Ward of Corpus Christi died at the scene.
 
A second passenger in the truck, 79-year-old Shirley Dolan also died at the scene. A third passenger, 75-year-old Linda Royal of Mathis died at an El Campo hospital.
 
The driver of the Peterbilt, 54-year-old Mark Hajovsky of Louise, was not hurt.
 
As of now, this crash remains under investigation.
