Suspected DUI Driver Injured in Stolen U-Haul Truck Accident on 62nd Place in Scottsdale

 
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (August 29, 2024) – Officials confirmed that a stolen U-haul truck was part of an accident on 62nd Place on August 9.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road around 12:30 PM. Based on a report, a man was driving a stolen box truck and possibly impaired at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the suspect slammed into a city employee’s worker’s truck. Police said the victim is with the city’s Street Transportation Department.
 
As a result, the victim sustained injuries in the crash. Emergency transported the worker to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police said the driver was also in the hospital in critical condition. Police said they believe the driver may have been drunk or high.
