Steven Sandoz Identified in Fatal Seattle Crash on Highway 509

 
SEATTLE, WA (May 23, 2023) – Officers identified 67-year-old Steven Sandoz of Burien who died in a multi-vehicle car accident on Highway 509 on May 20.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Highway 99 at 12:36 PM. Based on a report, Sandoz was driving a vehicle southbound on 509 at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he lost control, crossed over the gore point and struck two other vehicles.
 
As a result, Sandoz suffered severe injuries and died in the accident.
 
The other two drivers were not hurt.
 
Crews closed the roadway while they cleared the area.
