PHOENIX, AZ (June 12, 2024) – Officials cited 64-year-old Steven Muniz after a fatal pedestrian accident on 16th Street on May 21.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened Street at Elwood Street around 8:00 PM. Based on a report, a man was walking near the intersection when Muniz hit him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered critical injuries. Officers and fire personnel responded to the area and found the victim on the road. Despite treatment, the man died at the scene. Officers did not release his name, pending kin notification.
