According to the Amarillo Police Department, the crash took place on West Amarillo Boulevard and North Florida Street at about 7:35 p.m.

Amarillo Police officers said a 2013 Chevy Camaro driven by 19-year-old Abdurahman Garang Hussein, traveled at an extremely high rate of speed. It was in the inside lane of West Amarillo Boulevard moving towards North Florida Street.

Hussein failed to maintain a single lane and crashed into the Honda.

Castejon, her 6-year-old son, and her unborn child died as a result of the accident.

APD said alcohol and speed contributed as factors in the accident.
