THORNTON, CO (June 12, 2024) — A man died and four others were injured in a four-vehicle accident on the 25 Freeway on Tuesday, May 28.
 
According to the Thornton Police Department, the crash happened on 25 Freeway near East 136th Avenue in the morning.
 
Officer Joe Walker, spokesman for the police department, said a driver who went the wrong way in a northbound lane caused the collision.
 
The driver only described as an adult man died in the accident.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics brought four other people to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
 
Officers briefly closed 25 Freeway at 136th Avenue as they cleared the road and conducted an on-scene investigation.
