Steven Kniffen Killed after Hemet Rollover Crash

 
HEMET, CA (December 20, 2022) – Police confirmed that Steven Kniffen died in a rollover car crash near Minto Way and Sage Road on December 9.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened around 3:50 p.m. near the intersection of Minto Way and Sage Road. Based on reports, a Lincoln Navigator was driving in the area when it lost control for unknown reasons.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived at the scene shortly after 4:00 p.m. after receiving reports. They found two victims trapped inside the SUV and freed them.

59-year-old Kniffen of Hemet sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Responders transported the other person to a regional trauma center with major injuries.

The speed of the SUV at the time of the accident is also under investigation as of now.

There are no other details available at this time. The investigation continued, however, road closures were not required.
