Stephanie Vereb Fatally Injured after Las Vegas Motorcycle Accident

LAS VEGAS, NV (February 28, 2024) — A 34-year-old woman identified as Stephanie Vereb died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday, February 18.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the motorcycle accident took place near Rancho Drive and Sunset Drive shortly after 1:30 p.m.

Investigators said Vereb drove a 2012 Yamaha FZ8 at a high rate of speed south on Rancho Drive. It then passed multiple vehicles approaching Sunset Drive. At the same time, a 2005 Honda Accord moved south on Rancho Drive south of Sunset Drive in the right-most travel lane.

Police said the collision happened when Vereb’s motorcycle moved from the left-most travel lane to the right-most travel lane to pass slower vehicles. It caused the front of the Yamaha to strike the rear of the Honda. The impact ejected the rider from the Yamaha and it came to a stop in the roadway.

Arriving medical personnel rushed Vereb to UMC Trauma for substantial injuries, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said the driver of the Honda stayed at the scene. They did not show any signs of intoxication.

The LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section handles the ongoing investigation of the crash.

Our deepest sympathies to the loved ones of Stephanie Vereb.
