Davon Nelson Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Federal Way

 
FEDERAL WAY, WA (February 28, 2024) – The Federal Way Police Department identified 21-year-old Davon Nelson who died in a hit-and-run in the 500 block of Southwest Dash Point Road on February 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 7:20 PM. Based on a report, the victim was on the road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
 
Subsequently, officers said the driver fled the scene, without giving aid to the pedestrian who was down on the road.
 
As a result, Nelson suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where he later died.
 
Officers closed both directions of Southwest Dash Point Road for several hours while they examined the scene. They also asked anyone with information about the deadly hit-and-run to contact the FWPD at 253-835-2121.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
