Two Vintage Planes Burst into Flames During Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow

 
DALLAS, TX (November 15, 2022) – Police confirmed six fatalities in an airshow crash at the Dallas Executive Airport on November 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened during the Wings Over Dallas airshow.
 
Based on a report, two vintage planes identified as a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra collided during the airshow. Officers saw the planes breaking apart midair after the collision before they hit the ground seconds later.
 
Subsequently, both planes burst into flames.
 
More than 40 fire rescue units responded to the scene.
 
As a result, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office said all six people onboard the planes died. Officials did not yet release their names, pending kin notification.
 
As of now, no other details are available.
