Phillip Strydom, Brandy Addicks, Joshua Daggs, 16-Year-Old Emma Addicks Dies in Wood County Car Crash
WOOD COUNTY, TX (November 14, 2022) – Four people, including a 16-year-old girl, were killed after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, November 9.
Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety said that 64-year-old Phillipus P. Strydom of Winnsboro was driving eastbound in a 2008 Cadillac STS on Farm to Market Road 515. At the same time, 43-year-old Brandy L. Addicks of Winnsboro was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt southbound on Farm to Market Road 2966.
According to reports, Addicks disregarded a stop sign. As a result, the Cadillac collided with the Chevrolet on the left side.
Addicks and her passengers, 33-year-old Joshua L. Daggs of Yantis and 16-year-old Emma Addicks from Yantis, were all pronounced dead at the scene, DPS said.
Strydom was also pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, 59-year-old Jacomina “Jackie” M. Strydom of Garland, was transported to a Tyler hospital for incapacitating injuries.
The investigation continues.
