Shye Brown Identified in Fatal Crash on Northeast Loop 410 at Austin Highway in San Antonio

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 14, 2025) – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 20-year-old Shye Brown who died in a crash on Northeast Loop 410 on January 10.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Austin Highway around 3:30 PM. Based on a report, Brown was a passenger in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was speeding and weaving in and out of heavy traffic prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, the Jeep rear-ended a Dodge pickup truck. After the first crash, Jeep spun out sideways and collided with two other vehicles.
 
As a result, Brown suffered grave injuries in the crash. Emergency crews transported her to a local hospital, where she later died.
 
Two other people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Investigators said the 20-year-old male driver of the Jeep could face possible charges related to the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
