PHOENIX, AZ (January 14, 2025) — Two people suffered injuries following a hit-and-run on 39th Avenue on Sunday, January 12.
 
According to the Phoenix Police, the two-vehicle accident occurred near 39th Avenue and Monte Vista Road at about 10:30 a.m.
 
When they arrived, officers found two people in a truck that was in the crash. Then both of them ran from the scene. Police later noted that the truck was reported as stolen.
 
Meanwhile, there were also two people in the other vehicle involved in the collision. First responders brought them both to the hospital. One sustained minor injury. However, the other person is in critical condition.
 
Detectives continue to investigate what caused the crash.
