Michelle McCoy, Sherrie Holt Die after Car Hydroplanes on Highway 77 in Falls County

 
FALLS COUNTY, TX (April 10, 2023) – Officers identified 50-year-old Sherrie Holt of Chilton and 41-year-old Michelle McCoy of Arlington as two of the victims who died in a crash on Highway 77 on March 31.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Chilton at approximately 3:53 PM. Based on a report, Holt was driving a Fiat 500 northbound when it hydroplaned in the lanes.
 
Subsequently, the vehicle entered the southbound lane and crashed into a Lexus RX. The impact ejected Holt off the Fiat.
 
As a result, Holt and her unidentified passenger died at the scene.
 
McCoy, a passenger of the Lexus, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Crews transported the two other occupants of the Lexus to Baylor Scott and White in Waco for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
