Rollover Car Crash in Garza County, Driver Juan Garcia and 16-Year-Old Passenger Die

 
GARZA COUNTY, TX (April 10, 2023) – Officers identified 35-year-old Juan Bartolo Garcia as one of the victims who died in a crash on Highway 84 on April 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 7:24 AM. Based on a report, Garcia was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban east on Highway 84, traveling through a right curve.
 
That portion of the highway has two lanes dedicated to eastbound travel and two lanes for westbound travel, and a large grass center median separates both lanes. The SUV traveled straight through the right curve and into the center median and rolled before coming to a rest.
 
As a result, a 16-year-old passenger suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the teen’s identity.
 
Crews transported Garcia to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
