Sean Whisenhunt Killed, Jorge Reyes Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 26 in Grant County

 
GRANT COUNTY, WA (October 3, 2022) – Police identified Sean Whisenhunt as the victim who died after getting struck by a vehicle on Highway 26.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 6:00 AM on September 23.
 
Based on a report, 43-year-old Jorge Reyes, of Othello, was traveling in a 2017 Honda Fit prior to the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, he struck Whisenhunt who was running at that time.
 
As a result, 26-year-old Spokane resident Whisenhunt died in the incident.
 
Reyes was taken to Othello Community Hospital with injuries.
 
Police did not charge. In addition, WSP said the cause of the crash was Whisenhunt being in the road. However, troopers said the accident remains under investigation.
