Riders Jose Niebles-Lopez and David Ramirez Involved in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 2 in Leavenworth

 
LEAVENWORTH, WA (October 3, 2022) – Jose Niebles-Lopez, Aurora Manriquez, David Ramirez, and Maria Casillas Bojurquez were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 2 on September 24.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at a corner at MP 95 around 4:24 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victims were riding their motorcycles as a part of a group traveling from Mexico. At that time, a gray 2020 Chevrolet Equinox going eastbound on the highway crossed the center lane and hit a red 2017 Toyota in the opposite lane. Subsequently, the Toyota turned sideways and was in the eastbound lane when the victims’ motorcycles crashed into it.
 
As a result, paramedics airlifted 55-year-old Jose Niebles-Lopez and his passenger, 50-year-old Manriquez who suffered severe leg injury to Central Washington Hospital.
 
The second motorcycle driver, Ramirez, and passenger, Maria Casillas Bojurquez, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
