KEN CARYL, CO (June 5, 2023) – The Colorado State Patrol confirmed that a scooter rider died in a hit-and-run on Wadsworth Boulevard on May 27.
 
According to the CSP, the collision happened at Coal Mine Avenue around 11:30 PM. Based on a report, the victim was riding a red moped scooter going south on Wadsworth at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, another vehicle struck the victim and fled the scene. Subsequently, other passing motorists hit the rider who was down on the road.
 
As a result, the victim suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, officers ask anyone with information to contact the Denver CSP dispatch center at 303-239-4501.
