Saul Bustillos Killed in El Paso Car Accident on Alameda Avenue

 
EL PASO, TX (December 2, 2024) — A 17-year-old driver, Saul Adrian Bustillos, died in a car accident on Monday, November 18.
 
According to the El Paso Police Department, the incident occurred on the 7800 block of Alameda Avenue.
 
El Paso Police said Bustillos drove a red Chevy Cruze on the 7800 block of Alameda Avenue near Riverside Drive. Then he reportedly drove at a high rate of speed over standing water. It caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
 
After that, the vehicle slammed into a pole at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Riverside Drive.
 
Bustillos and three other passengers, whose ages ranged from 16 to 20, sustained injuries in the incident. However, Bustillos had fatal injuries and died.
 
Authorities did not release the condition of the other passengers.
 
According to EPPD, the incident is the 62nd traffic-related fatality death in 2024, compared to 71 this time last year.
