Carter Snider and Boston Wilson Die in Houston County Car Accident

 
HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (December 2, 2024) — Two East Texas students, Carter Snider and Boston Wilson, died in a crash on Saturday, November 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 19, near Private Road 7068.
 
Texas DPS said Snider traveled north on Highway 19. Then his vehicle veered off the road to the right. After that, he overcorrected the maneuver back to the left.
 
As a result, his vehicle traveled into a side skid into the southbound lane. After that, it slammed into a vehicle moving south.
 
Emergency responders brought Snider to the hospital, where he later passed away. Wilson, who was in Snider’s car, died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported Snider’s other passenger 18-year-old Riley Russell, to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Emergency responders also brought the driver of the other vehicle, identified as 60-year-old Henry Fields of Houston, to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. They also took his passenger, 60-year-old James Gilford, to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
Friends  and loved ones set up online fundraisers on GoFundMe for both Snider and Wilson.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
