Santo Campuzano Hospitalized after Prosser Hit-and-Run on Highway 221

 
PROSSER, WA (June 13, 2023) — A 26-year-old identified as Santo Campuzano, of Prosser, suffered injuries in a hit-and-run on Friday, May 24.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 221, south of Prosser and around six miles from Paterson at around 10:15 a.m.
 
WSP said Campuzano walked in the northbound lane of Highway 221. At the same time, a vehicle drove north just south of the Horrigan Road intersection. Then the vehicle struck Capuzano and fled the scene.
 
Campuzano sustained critical injuries and paramedics brought him to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland for treatment.
 
Officials continue to investigate the accident.
