Santiago Aldana Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on P Street in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 4, 2022) – Officers identified Santiago Espinoza Aldana as the victim who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle on September 11.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened in the 700 block of P Street shortly after 10:30 PM.
Based on a report, Aldana was in the lanes when a vehicle came and struck him. Subsequently, the vehicle fled the scene. The Bakersfield Police Department said it was a black sedan with front-end damage to the driver’s side of the car.
As a result, 52-year-old Aldana of Bakersfield suffered severe injuries and was brought to Kern Medical, where he later died.
Police said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash. As of now, officers ask anyone with information regarding the crash to call BPD at 661-327-7111.
