Brooklyn Moran Dies in Crash Involving Suspected DUI Driver Jeremy Spencer in Garland

 
GARLAND, TX (October 4, 2022) – Officers confirmed the death of 13-year-old Brooklyn Moran in a suspected DUI crash on September 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened on Castle Drive at Toler Road around 5:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was in an SUV traveling southbound on Castle at the time of the crash. At the same time, a black Dodge pickup truck was traveling northbound. Due to unknown reasons, the Dodge crossed the center median and collided head-on with the SUV. Subsequently, the SUV caught fire in the incident.
 
As a result, Garland police reported Moran died in the incident. Her mother suffered critical injuries and a friend was also hurt in the incident.
 
Later, police arrested the driver of the Dodge, 30-year-old Jeremy Spencer of Frisco on intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
