TYLER, TX (July 26, 2024) – The Tyler Police Department identified 43-year-old Sandra Abrego who died in a pedestrian accident in the 4500 block of South Broadway Avenue on July 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened Tuesday afternoon while the victim was at a bus stop. Based on a report, a vehicle struck her.
 
As a result, Abrego suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews her to UT Health, where she later died.
 
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained on the scene.
