Erin Osborn Dies, Nelson Friesenhahn Hospitalized after Lynn Car Accident

 
LYNN COUNTY, TX (October 17, 2024) — 39-year-old Erin Nichole Osborn, of Big Spring, died in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday, October 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 84 and Farm to Market Road 212 at around 2:20 p.m.
 
DPS said Osborn drove a 2015 Nissan Versa north on Farm to Market Road 212. Then she failed to yield at a stop sign. After that, she collided with a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck moving southeast on Highway 84.
 
Osborn was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Paramedics transported the driver of the Dodge Ram to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment of his injuries. Authorities identified him as 18-year-old Nelson Wayne Friesenhahn of Lubbock.
 
Both Osborn and Friesenhahn wore their seatbelts when the incident happened.
 
The road conditions and weather were dry and clear at the time of the incident.
