SUV and Motorcycle Crash on Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas; Samuel Gonzalez Detained

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 6, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested 20-year-old Samuel Gonzalez after a motorcycle crash on Tropicana Avenue on June 1.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Palm Street around 11:35 PM. Based on a report, Gonzalez was driving a Chevrolet Silverado near the intersection prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a motorcycle was heading east on Tropicana Avenue. Due to unknown reasons, Gonzalez turned left from the westbound side of the road and crashed into the rider.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.
 
Police said Gonzalez showed signs of impairment. They booked him into Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving causing substantial bodily harm.
