Samara Johnson Identified in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 2247 in Comanche

 
COMANCHE, TX (August 2, 2023) – Officers identified 21-year-old Samara Johnson who died in a head-on crash on northbound FM 2247 on July 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just after 8:00 PM. Based on a report, a Dodge truck was traveling south in the northbound lane of FM 2247 prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, Johnson was driving a Ford Explorer and approaching a curve. Due to unknown reasons, the driver of the Dodge steered back into the southbound lane. Then, Johnson steered toward the southbound lane and caused a head-on crash.
 
As a result, Johnson sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Dodge was transported to Hendrick North Hospital with incapacitating injuries. Another occupant sustained non-incapitating injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
