Rudy Ramos and 10-Year-Old Girl Die in Multi-Vehicle Accident in San Angelo

 
SAN ANGELO, TX (November 19, 2024) — 41-year-old Rudy Ramos and a child died in a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday, October 31.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 87 and March Road.
 
Texas DPS said a 2022 Ford F-250 pickup driven by 28-year-old Shelton Bailey McDonald, of San Angelo, allegedly ran a stop sign. Then it hit two northbound vehicles.
 
One of the northbound vehicles was a 2020 Chevrolet Spark driven by Ramos. He and a 10-year-old girl in his vehicle died at the scene.
 
Three other occupants in the same vehicle sustained minor injuries. Paramedics then brought them to Shannon Medical Center with minor injuries. Authorities identified them as 30-year-old Annie Marie Puga and a 9-year-old and 5-year-old boy.
 
The third vehicle was a 2024 Toyota Tundra. Officers identified its driver as 42-year-old Rosendo Zapata, of San Angelo. He did not sustain any injuries.
 
DPS troopers continue to investigate the accident. They said road and weather conditions were clear and dry when the incident occurred.
