Suspected Hit-and-Run Driver Jonathan Olvera Involved in Marshall Pedestrian Accident

 
MARSHALL, TX (November 19, 2024) – The Marshall Police Department arrested 30-year-old Jonathan Olvera following a pedestrian accident on West Burleson Street on November 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at North Bishop Street around 7:50 PM.
 
Based on a report, Olvera was driving a dark-colored vehicle near the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he struck a male pedestrian in the lanes. He then fled the scene afterward.
 
As a result, the male victim suffered a broken leg in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital for treatment.
 
Marshall PD said Olvera later cooperated with investigators. Officers charged him with an accident involving serious bodily injury case.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
