Motorcyclists Mercedes Nunes, Ron Martinez Killed after Crashing into Cow in Mesquite

 
MESQUITE, NV (June 23, 2023) – Officers identified 41-year-old Ron Eugene Martinez and 35-year-old Mercedes Del Carmen Nunes of Mesquite who died in a motorcycle accident on Riverside Road on June 12.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 11:00 AM. Based on a report, the victims were riding a motorcycle westbound on the road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, they struck a cow standing in the roadway. The impact ejected the victims onto the road.
 
As a result, Martinez and Nunes suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The cow was also killed in the crash.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
