SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (April 11, 2023) – Officers reported that Roger Newton suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Pines Road 240 on April 5.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Mansfield Avenue at approximately 8:50 PM.
 
Based on a report, the 36-year-old Medical Lake pedestrian was crossing Pines outside the designated crosswalk prior to the crash. Subsequently, a 2016 Ford Taurus struck him.
 
As a result, Newton suffered injuries in the incident. The extent of his injuries was unclear but officials said he was in stable condition.
