Ricky Ferguson Dies in Phoenix Motorcycle Accident

 
PHOENIX, AZ (July 5, 2023) — Authorities identified 37-year-old Ricky Ferguson as the man killed in a motorcycle crash on Friday, June 16.
 
According to Phoenix police, shortly before 4:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of the accident near 81st Avenue and McDowell Road.
 
Investigators believe that Ferguson rode his motorcycle eastbound on McDowell Road. Then the other vehicle involved turned westbound in front of Ferguson.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Ferguson on the road suffering from serious injuries.
 
Police said paramedics rushed Ferguson to the hospital. However, he died of sustained injuries.
 
Authorities said the involved driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police.
 
Officials believe speed is a factor in the crash.
 
Officers temporarily closed McDowell Road in all directions from 83rd Avenue to 79th Avenue during their on-scene investigation.
