BROWNSVILLE, TX (December 19, 2022) – Brownsville Police Department confirmed that 65-year-old Ricky Joe Beede suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident on International Boulevard on December 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Main Street around 6:11 PM. Based on a report, Beede was crossing the road diagonally prior to the time of the crash.
 
Subsequently, an orange Hyundai SUV traveling northbound struck the man. Police determined Beede was at fault in the incident.
 
Beede was reported to be in critical but stable condition.
 
The driver of the vehicle stopped immediately and called the police.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
