Ian Simpson Identified in Fatal Wrong-Way Crash in Carthage, Craig Ralls Injured

 
CARTHAGE, TX (December 19, 2022) – Police identified 35-year-old Ian A. Simpson as the victim who died in a wrong-way crash on Highway 315 on December 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened about 2.8 miles southwest of Carthage around 4:03 AM. Based on a report, Simpson had been traveling east on the highway prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he was on the wrong side of the road, not passing any other vehicles. Subsequently, his vehicle collided with a truck-trailer.
 
As a result, Simpson died in the incident.
 
The driver of the truck, 33-year-old Craig P. Ralls of Houston suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was treated at the scene.
