Mia Gomez, Anahi Sevilla, 19-Year-Old Alina Esquivel Hurt in Yakima Rollover Crash

 
YAKIMA, WA (December 19, 2022) – Officers identified 24-year-old Anahi Sevilla of Sunnyside as one of the three people who suffered injuries in a rollover crash on 82 Freeway on December 11.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened in the eastbound lane at milepost 41.6 shortly before 9:00 AM. Based on a report, Sevilla was driving a 1998 Toyota 4Runner when it spun out of control.
 
Subsequently, the vehicle left the highway and rolled into the median.
 
As a result, Sevilla suffered injuries in the incident. Her two passengers, 19-year-old Alina Esquivel of Sunnyside and 25-year-old Mia Herrera Gomez of Mabton, were also hurt. Emergency crews transported them to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment. All three were wearing seatbelts.
 
Police determined that the cause of the accident was speed. As of now, the investigation into the case remains ongoing.
