Richard Wright Killed in Rear-End Crash on Amargosa Road [Victorville, CA]

Richard Wright Identified in Fatal Victorville Car Crash

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 10, 2023) – The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified 48-year-old Richard C. Wright in a fatal crash on Amargosa Road on May 4.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Luna Road around 9:00 PM. Based on a report, Wright was driving a gray Lincoln pickup truck near the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he crashed into the back of a sedan that was waiting to turn onto the freeway. Then, his truck traveled down Mariposa, where it lost control and crashed near a freeway sign pole.
 
Victorville City Fire along with deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded and rescued the victim who was trapped in the mangled truck. While rescue was ongoing, he went into full cardiac arrest and died at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
