Richard Harris, Eugenio Perez Killed in Car Crash on FM 45 [San Saba County, TX]

Eugenio Perez and Richard Harris Identified in Fatal San Saba County Crash

 
SAN SABA COUNTY, TX (February 3, 2023) – Officers identified 65-year-old Richard Blair Harris of Brownwood and 52-year-old Eugenio Botello Perez of San Saba who died in a car crash on FM 45 on January 27.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly after 4:00 PM, roughly half a mile south of FM 2997.
 
Based on a report, Harris was driving a 2018 Dodge Ram towing a cargo trailer southbound on the road prior to the crash. At the same time, Perez was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pick-up on the northbound side.
 
According to the initial report, the Chevrolet failed to stay in its lane and crashed into the Dodge.
 
As a result, both Harris and Perez died in the crash.
 
A 23-year-old passenger in the Dodge was hurt and treated at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details about the accident are available.
