Justin Almarez Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in San Antonio

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 3, 2023) – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 40-year-old Justin Lee Almarez as the victim who died in a crash in the 3900 block of Naco Perrin Boulevard on January 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Bulverde Road shortly before 7:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, Almarez was a passenger in a white van traveling southbound on Bulverde prior to the crash. Subsequently, the van driver drifted left, jumped a concrete median, and drove the wrong way into the northbound lanes of Naco Perrin. There, it struck a big rig that was traveling north on the roadway.
 
As a result, Almarez was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the van suffered critical injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
