Richard Falk Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Mason County

 
MASON COUNTY, WA (June 9, 2023) – Officers identified 36-year-old Richard Falk of Belfair who died in a head-on crash on Highway 3 on June 2.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Grapeview just before 8:00 PM. Based on a report, Falk was driving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler northbound on the highway prior to the crash.
 
Duet to unknown reasons, he crossed the center line into the southbound lane and hit a Nissan sedan that was heading south.
 
As a result, Falk suffered grave injuries from the impact. Crews transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where he died.
 
The Nissan driver, a 37-year-old Belfair woman, was also hospitalized. Her 2-year-old boy passenger was not hurt.
 
At this point, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
