Ramon Gonzalez Fatally Injured after San Antonio Hit-and-Run on Culebra Road

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 28, 2024) — Authorities identified 45-year-old Ramon Gonzalez as the man killed in a hit-and-run on Wednesday, May 15.
 
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the crash happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Culebra Road, near 10 Freeway and Woodlawn Lake.
 
San Antonio police said Gonzalez was simply walking on Culebra Road. Then a vehicle struck him and fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Officers said there were no witnesses to the incident. As of the moment, they have not yet released a description of the vehicle. When found, the driver will probably face a charge of failure to stop and render aid, police stated.
 
The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all responded to the scene of the accident.
