Rolando Reyes, Quinnon Gardner Dead in Lufkin Car Crash on Highway 103

 
LUFKIN, TX (November 8, 2023) — 44-year-old Quinnon Gardner of Center and 36-year-old Rolando Reyes of Lufkin died in a crash on Thursday, October 26.
 
According to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident took place on State Highway 103 East near the river bridge at about 4:55 p.m.
 
The release said Gardner drove a Ford Flex east on Highway 103. At the same time, Reyes drove a 2009 Chevrolet pickup west while towing a trailer.
 
Gardner veered into the westbound lane. After that, his car collided head-on with Reyes’ vehicle. The impact caused Reyes’ trailer to disconnect and crash into a 2012 Chevrolet pickup driven by Brian Massey, 42, of Lufkin.
 
DPS said paramedics pronounced Gardner and Reyes dead on the scene.
 
Massey and his passenger did not sustain any injuries. A passenger in Reyes’ truck was also not hurt in the crash.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
