Quinn Truitt, 5-Year-Old Michael Truitt, and Their Dog Killed in Traffic Accident on 10 Freeway near Milepost 25

TUCSON, AZ (June 10, 2024) — Quinn Truitt, his five-year-old son Michael Truitt, and their dog died in a crash on Monday, May 13.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. on 10 Freeway near milepost 25.

Crash investigators said a passenger moved east on 10 Freeway. Then traffic stopped in the construction zone. The sedan made an evasive action and crashed with a second vehicle. The impact pushed it into a third.

Arizona DPS said the original at-fault sedan went eastbound and crashed with the third and fourth vehicles. Then it eventually came to rest.

Truitt’s family who occupied the car that the sedan initially crashed with died due to their injuries. Reports said they were part of a military family at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.

The Arizona DPS said they continue to investigate the crash as a homicide. However, officials have not yet released the identity of the person who may be responsible for this incident.
