Marco Rivera Jr. Killed in Tucson Car Crash on East Ajo Way

 
TUCSON, AZ (June 10, 2024) — A 50-year-old man identified as Marco Antonio Rivera Jr. died in a car accident on Monday, May 20.
 
According to the Tucson Police Department, the crash happened on the 2200 block of East Ajo Way near Kino Sports Complex at about 4:15 p.m.
 
Detectives determined the Nissan Altima driven by Rivera Jr. tried to make a left turn from East Ajo Way into a parking lot. Then a Ford F250 truck struck it.
 
TPD says crews from the Tucson Fire Department arrived on the scene and pronounced Rivera Jr. dead.
 
No one in the F250 suffered injuries.
 
An officer from the DUI Unit arrived at the scene. He determined the driver of the Ford was not under the influence at the time of the crash.
