AVONDALE, AZ (January 10, 2024) – The Avondale Police Department confirmed that an officer was involved in a pedestrian accident on 108th Avenue on January 8.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Madison Street around 12:25 AM. Based on the report, the Avondale police officer struck a pedestrian near the intersection.
 
As a result, the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. The officer was not hurt.
 
The Goodyear Police Department was handling the incident.
